The Federal Government will invest R$ 99.9 million in the undertaking that will cover a section between Aquidauana access and Ladário. It will be an 82-kilometer project, and the pavement will be entirely rebuilt.
Besides restructuring the pavement, the project also includes work on the hard shoulder and draining devices such as gutters, drains and manholes. Signs will be refurbished, lane lines will be repainted and reflective road studs will be set in place. Among the safety devices, guard rails will be added and slipform parapets will be built. The project also includes environmental measures such as planting trees, living fences and bushes, in addition to devices to enable wild animals to cross the road. Bus stop shelters will also be built along the highway.
