Terex Roadbuilding expands its products line offered in Brazil, introducing the Terex Cedarapids Line (“CR'). The CR equipments ally power and agility (both work and maneuver) to a high production capacity - for both paving width and thickness. Such qualities are ideal for applications in airports, highways, streets and parking lots, where quality and speed must walk together.
The high durability of the main sets of the equipment is an additional quality, especially tires and treadmills, screw conveyors, mix conveyors and screed plates. Treadmills have been designed to last 5 thousand hours. Yet, equipments and conveyors in perfect condition are easy to find, even after 7 thousand hours of work, according to Gilvan Medeiros, Sales and Marketing Director of Terex Roadbuilding LA.
All equipments have hydraulic hood - making maintenance stops easier and faster. Screeds may feature either oil (diesel) or electric heating systems. Tires present an optional drive system for the front wheels, increasing the drive capacity up to 50%.
Terex CR line also presents the exclusive “Frame Raise' system, which raises and lowers the paver augers, enabling the operator to fine tune the head of material in front of the screed. By isolating the screed chassis, the three-point suspension system, making the paver to literally “float' over the irregularities of the sub-base, keeping the height of the feeding material constant in front of the screed of the asphaltic mix.
